Urban X announces next round of accelerator program
MINI's city-focused accelerator programs selects seven startups for next round
Urban X, the city-focused accelerator founded by MINI-BMW, has announced seven startups for its next cohort.
The sixth round of the Urban X programs includes startups developing ideas for emergency response, building design and energy management, traffic safety, exercise and food waste reduction.
The participating startups include Hubbster, an on-demand service to arrange sports in public places; Varuna, an enterprise management platform for water utilities; Cove.Tool building energy modelling solution; Food For All, a platform for restaurants to sell meals that would otherwise go to waste; Evolve Energy, which provides power management for smart homes; 3AM Innovations, which provides situational awareness and data management tools for emergency first responders; and Pi Variables Inc which is developing IoT radio-based safety solutions for people working in and around roadways.
Each of the startups will receive $150,000 in financing, and will participate in a twenty week accelerator program.
